Free design service for custom team uniforms & team apparel

Quick answer: DYEWAVE designs your team uniform for free. Send a logo — or just an idea — and our team creates the design and a digital proof at no charge. You approve the final proof first, and only then place your production order, at our standard pricing ($18 per shirt for 10–49 pieces, delivered duty paid). There is no design fee, ever.

No designer? That is what this page is for

Most teams know what they want to look like. Very few have a designer on the roster — or a finished, print-ready file. So the design step is where team uniform orders usually stall: someone has a logo in a low-resolution file, a photo of another team's jersey, or just a team name and two colors they like.

Send us any of that. Our team turns it into a finished uniform design and a digital proof, free. You look at the proof, adjust the design before you approve the final proof, and only when you are happy with it do you place the production order. Design costs nothing; you pay only for production, and only after approval.

How it works

01

Tell us your idea

Send your logo, colors and names/numbers — or just a description of what you have in mind — by email or WhatsApp.

02

We design it free

Our team creates the design and prepares a digital proof of the finished uniform. This step costs nothing.

03

You approve the final proof

Check the design, and adjust it before you approve the final proof. Nothing is produced until you approve it.

04

Place your production order

Pay only for production, at our standard pricing — one US invoice with shipping and duties included.

After approval, production takes 5–10 days, then about 9 days by air to your US address — about 2–3 weeks in total.

What production costs

10–49 pieces: $18 per shirt, delivered duty paid. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means the price includes air shipping and US import duties — nothing extra is due when the box arrives. 50–200 pieces: quoted on request. The minimum order is 10 pieces per design. Full pricing is on our homepage pricing section.

Clear terms

What's free, and what's paid

The design work is on us. You only pay for shirts — and only after you have approved exactly what they will look like.

Free — the design

  • Your uniform design, created by our team from your logo or idea
  • A digital proof showing the finished design
  • Adjustments to the design before you approve the final proof
  • No design fee — not upfront, not added later

Paid — only if you order production

  • The shirts themselves, at our standard pricing: $18 each for 10–49 pieces
  • Delivered duty paid — air shipping and US import duties included
  • 50–200 pieces quoted on request; 10-piece minimum per design
  • One invoice from our US company, paid after you approve the final proof

Our uniforms are printed by sublimation on 100% polyester — the standard for team jerseys — so full-color designs look brightest on white and light fabrics. We offer 8 fabric colors, and at the proof stage we will flag any design and fabric color combination that will not show well.

Plan for Spares & Reorders

A season rarely goes exactly to plan. A player joins mid-season, someone's size turns out wrong, a shirt gets damaged — and each of those is easy to fix if you planned spares into the first order, and slower and more expensive if you didn't, because a top-up later means a whole new production run.

The simplest fix is to order a few spare pieces up front. Recommended planning guidance:

Team sizeOrder this manyBuilt-in spares
15 players18–19 pieces3–4 spares
20 players23–25 pieces3–5 spares

That works out to roughly 3–5 spare pieces — enough to cover a mid-season joiner, a size swap and a damaged shirt without scrambling.

Reorders: same design, new production run

We keep your finalized design on file, so a reorder needs no new design work — just send the names, numbers and sizes you need. But a reorder is a new production run, and the standard minimum applies: 10 pieces per design, the same as a first order. That is exactly why planning spares into the first order usually works out cheaper than topping up later.

After approval: how we handle sizes & names

Once your design is approved, production is built from your roster. Send it back to us on our roster template — one row per player: name, number, size, notes — so nothing gets missed.

Download the roster template (Excel) Roster template (CSV)

Pro tip — the reliable way to collect sizes: the most reliable way to collect sizes is not asking everyone for a letter size. Instead: take a similar shirt or jersey that already fits you well, lay it flat, measure the chest width from pit to pit, and match that measurement against our size chart. The roster template has a column for that measurement.

Names & numbers: locked at approval

Names and numbers are printed exactly as written on the roster and the proof you approve.

Spelling is fixed at approval.

When you approve the final proof, every name spelling and number locks for that production run and cannot be changed afterwards. A correction after approval goes through a new production run — see Spares & Reorders. So before you approve, double-check every spelling and number against your roster, one row at a time.

FAQ

Free design questions

Is the design service really free?

Yes. Creating your design and the digital proof costs nothing, and there is no design fee at any point. You only pay if you approve the final proof and place a production order — and then you pay only for production, at our standard pricing.

What do I need to send to start a free design?

A logo if you have one — or just an idea. A team name, your colors, a list of names and numbers, a rough sketch or a photo of a uniform you like are all enough to start. Email [email protected] or message us on WhatsApp.

Can I change the design before I approve it?

Yes. You can adjust the design before you approve the final proof — colors, layout, names and numbers. Nothing is produced until you approve the final proof.

What does production cost once I approve the design?

Production is charged at our standard pricing: $18 per shirt for 10–49 pieces, delivered duty paid to a US address (air shipping and import duties included). For 50–200 pieces, send your details for a quote. The minimum order is 10 pieces per design.

What kinds of team apparel can you design?

Custom team uniforms, team jerseys and team shirts for sports teams, school teams and clubs, company teams and event staff. Designs are printed by sublimation on 100% polyester, so full-color designs look brightest on white and light fabrics; we offer 8 fabric colors and will flag any design and fabric combination that will not show well at the proof stage.

Should I order spare uniforms?

Yes — we recommend it. Players join mid-season, a size turns out wrong, or a shirt gets damaged, and each of those is far easier to fix if spares were planned into the first order. As recommended planning guidance, a 15-person team should order 18–19 pieces and a 20-person team 23–25 pieces — roughly 3–5 spares. A top-up later is a new production run with the standard 10-piece minimum, so spares in the first order are the cheaper fix. See Spares & Reorders.

What happens when a new player joins mid-season?

If you planned spares into your first order, you can kit the new player out straight away. If not, you can reorder: your finalized design is kept on file, so a reorder needs no new design work. A reorder is a new production run, and the standard minimum of 10 pieces per design applies.

What is the minimum order for a reorder?

10 pieces per design — the same as a first order. Your finalized design is kept on file, so a reorder needs no new design work, but it is a new production run, so the standard 10-piece minimum applies.

Can I change a name or number after I approve the design?

No. Names and numbers are printed exactly as written on the roster and the proof you approve, and spelling is fixed at approval: once you approve the final proof, all name spellings and numbers lock for that production run and cannot be changed afterwards. A correction after approval is handled as a reorder — a new production run (see Spares & Reorders). Please double-check every spelling and number against your roster before approving.
