Printing a college, team or brand logo? Bring the owner's permission

Logos, mascots and wordmarks belong to their owners. If you have permission, or you are the owner, we print them: download the form, have it signed, and send it with your artwork. If you don't, we design an original look in your colors.

Quick answer: DYEWAVE prints college, school, team, league and company logos only with the owner's written permission for your order, recorded on our two-page fillable authorization form. Typical cases are university departments and student groups with approval from the university's licensing office, teams and leagues ordering with their own marks, and companies printing a partner's logo with permission. Without permission, we design an original look instead. Logo shirts are $18 each for 10–49; full-color shirts $29 to $22, delivered duty paid to a US address.

When we can print someone else's logo

University departments and student groups

With written approval from the university's licensing or trademark office for the order.

Teams and leagues

Ordering shirts with your own marks: you are the owner, so you sign Part A as owner.

Companies

Partner, client or sponsor logos with that company's written permission.

Schools and districts

School names and mascots with the school's or district's permission.

The authorization form

Our two-page fillable PDF records who owns each mark in your design and the owner's permission. You fill in Part A and B; the owner signs Part C, or you attach its written permission. If you are the owner, tick the first box and sign.

Authorization form (PDF, 2 pages, fillable). Download it, fill it in on screen, sign it, and email it with your artwork to sales@dyewave.com.

Without permission

Fans of a college or professional team can still look the part: we design an original shirt in your team's colors with your group's own name, with no official logos, mascots, wordmarks or player names. See fan club shirts.

Universities and licensing offices

Most universities manage their names and logos through a licensing or trademark office, and many require departments and student organizations to use approved vendors or to get approval for each order. Ask your office what it needs; we complete the form and send the proof for its review if required.

Logos you send must be yours to use

We print your own logo, artwork and names. For college, school, team, league and brand marks, that means the owner's written permission for your order. We do not print logos of professional teams, colleges or other brands without written permission from the owner.

How ordering works

  1. Send your design and the formArtwork plus the signed authorization form, or an idea for an original design via our free design service.
  2. Send sizesSizes per design, and names or numbers if you want them.
  3. Approve the digital proofNothing is printed until you approve it, and any design or fabric-color problem is flagged here.
  4. Production: 5–10 daysYour design is sublimated into the polyester, every shirt with its own name or number if you sent them.
  5. Air delivery: about 9 daysShipped to your US door with duties paid, so nothing is due on arrival.

DDP means air shipping and US import duties are included, with nothing extra to pay when the box arrives. Design help and the digital proof are free.

Simpler option, logo customization: if you only need your logo printed or embroidered on a shirt, that is $18 per shirt for 10–49, also delivered duty paid, with a 10-shirt minimum per design.

Timing

After you approve the digital proof, production takes 5–10 days, then about 9 days by air, so shirts typically arrive 14–19 days after approval. Approvals can take time: start the permission request when you start the design. Use the deadline calculator to find the last day to approve your proof.

Honest limits

Sublimation only works on polyester, so we do not make cotton shirts. Sublimation inks are transparent, so designs look brightest on white and light fabrics; we flag any design and fabric color that will not work at the proof stage. The minimum is 15 shirts per design for all-over sublimation, and 10 per design for logo customization. Marks owned by others are printed only with the owner's written permission. We may confirm the permission with the owner before production.

Licensed logo FAQ

Common questions

Can you print my university's logo?

Yes, with written approval from the university's licensing or trademark office for the order, recorded on our authorization form.

Can you print an NFL, NBA, MLB or NHL team logo?

Only with the team's or league's written permission for the order. Fans without permission can order an original design in team colors.

I own the logo. Do I still need the form?

Yes, but only Part A: tick the box that you own the marks and sign. It takes two minutes.

Will you check the permission?

We may contact the owner to confirm it before production, and we decline or refund an order whose permission cannot be confirmed.

Can we print a sponsor's logo?

Yes, with the sponsor's permission. Many sponsors send their logo files for exactly this; note them on the form.

How much do custom shirts with licensed logos cost?

All-over sublimation shirts are $29 each for 15–29, $25 for 30–49 and $22 for 50+, priced per design. Logo shirts are $18 each for 10–49. All prices are delivered duty paid to a US address: air shipping and import duties included.

Do more colors or more logos cost more?

No. Sublimation prints full color at the same price, so gradients, photos, patterns and extra logos cost the same as a one-color design.

How long does an order take?

About 14–19 days after you approve the proof: 5–10 days production plus about 9 days by air. Use the deadline calculator to find the last day to approve for your date.

Can I use AI-generated artwork?

Yes. Send artwork from an AI image tool or your own design and we print it edge to edge. We check it and send a digital proof before anything is printed.

Will the DYEWAVE logo be on our shirts?

Yes. Every shirt carries a small DYEWAVE mark on the sleeve and at the back neck, as in the examples on this page. The rest of the shirt is your design, printed from the proof you approve.

Can you invoice an organization?

Yes. You get one invoice from our US company, and we can provide a W-9 for vendor setup.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Yes. Prices on this page are delivered to a US address; other destinations are quoted per order.
